HP Designjet 30/70/90/100/110/111/120/130 Printer Series - How to Assign a Static IP Address to a Network Printer

Issue

This document describes how to assign a static IP address to a network printer if it keeps getting a dynamic IP address from a DHCP network.

Solution

Complete the following steps:

Print the Information pages by following these steps:
1. Press and hold the power button.
2. Then holding down the power button, press and release the resume four times.
3. Release the power button.
note:
This would print a three-page report.
Make a note of the IP address listed on the I/O Section page under TCP/IP section.
Following these steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer (or any browser you may use).
2. In the address bar, type the printer's current IP address from the information page.
3. Click on the tab Networking.
4. Click Network Settings under Configuration on the left side.
5. Select the IP Configuration to MANUAL.
6. Type the printer's current IP address in the IP Address box.
7. Click Apply in the bottom of the page.
note:
Ensure to update the printer's current IP address in the printer driver as well if the printer driver is already installed on the computer.
