Description
The printing system software is the installation application that is on the CD shipped with the product.
All of the MS Windows system components are installed by using the HP CM8060/CM8050 Color MFP with Edgeline Technology Windows printing-system installer.
The installer automatically detects the operating system and the default language.
The HP CM8060/CM8050 Color MFP with Edgeline Technology print drivers provide printing features and communication between the user's computer and software
applications and the print device features, including paper-handling and print-quality features
The printing system includes software for end users and system administrators who are working in the following operating systems:
- Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows Server 2003 (32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows 2000
MS Windows 64-bit drivers for Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 are available for the following systems:
- AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Xeon, or Pentium 4 with EMT64
Enhancements
- Incremental reduction of time required to display Printer Properties window in point & print environment.
- CMYK color option "DIC" is displayed as DIC(Dainippon).
- Default Pin is enabled for stored and personal job option in job storage tab.
- Print on both sides (Duplex printing) is enabled by default.
- Save and Reset Button on Print Shortcuts are now enabled by default.
Fixes
- Vended installation problem in discrete point & print scenario is fixed.
- Extra Print on both side instruction window is popping up for excel application.
- Automatic radio button in Color tab is not sticking after doing Update now.
- Remove HP Edgeline Glossy 220g.
- Unable to add additional drivers of 64 bit OS version to 32 bit Server.
- Driver Fails to Install in Cluster.
Known Issues
- Concept Preview is not proper for C Size Sheet and A2.
- Cluster install on virtual server hangs for discrete drivers. However, installation on nodes configures properly.
- Print Shortcut preview still shows covers after shortcut has been deleted.
- If a Beta driver package had been installed (and/or removed) on a machine before installing this driver package, the bi-directional communication
component installer will fail because of known upgrade issue. The component will need to be cleanly manually uninstalled.
Installation Instructions
This section will help you in the download of the software to your computer and start you on the install process.
Before proceeding with the software installation, the printer must first be properly set up, and your computer must be ready to
print.
- Turn on the printer first, and then turn on the computer.
- Close any screen savers, virus protection programs, or other software programs running on your computer.
- Click on Download and a File Download box will appear.
- Select Save and a Save As box will appear.
- Select a directory to save the file in and click Save.
- Locate the file using Windows Explorer when the download has completed.
- Double click on the file.
- When the main menu appears, click Install.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
