Description
This Readme file provides specific installation instructions and other information you should know before you perform a firmware
upgrade for your HP Series MFP. Installation instructions are provided for Single and Multiple Printer Updates.
What is included in a Remote Firmware Upgrade (RFU)?
The HP Printer Remote Firmware Upgrade file available from the hp web site contains firmware for the printer, embedded JetDirect
(if applicable), and HP paper handling accessories used with the device in one convenient download file. When the Remote Firmware
Upgrade file is sent to the HP MFP, the firmware for the engine and all connected accessories is upgraded.
Who needs this firmware?
Similar to Hewlett Packard providing improved software for your HP MFP, Hewlett Packard provides firmware updates for your printer
periodically through its supported lifecycle. A firmware update may be necessary if it is determined that you may benefit from the
resolution of any issue that is documented below. These updates are available on the HP support web site.
NOTE: If you are using a third-party application on your HP CM8060/CM8050 Color MFP, contact the application vendor before
updating the firmware to see if your application(s) have been qualified with this firmware release.
Determining the current version level of your firmware

The following new functionality or features are provided by this firmware release: 20110502 80.110.9
Enhancements
Base Product:
Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Users will now have the option to configure scan-to-network filenames using the %DATETIME% macro. Additional macros to configure are, %YEAR%, %MONTH%, %DAY%, %HOUR%, %MINUTE%, %SECOND%. This will allow the user to format the date & time however they like, e.g. %DAY%-%MONTH%-%YEAR%.
- Filenames can be customized by opening the Embedded Web Server and browsing to Digital Send >> Network Folder Setup. User will have the option to set the macro(s) as the default filename or configure each quick access folder.
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
No enhancements were made to the Copier Diagnostic Field Tool.
Fixes
The following fixes are provided by this firmware release: 20110502 80.110.9
Base Product:
Digital Send (EWS):
- Fixed an issue where default Send to Folder settings would overwrite custom Quick Access folder settings. Previously, when configuring JPEG as the custom file type for a quick access folder, the scanned file was sent as PDF (default) rather than JPEG. Walk up user had to select More Options->Document File Type and change it manually.
Digital Send (OXPd):
- A fix was implemented to adjust the OXPd UI flow after pressing the "Continue" button at the end of the job. This should allow the user to go back to the data entry screen.
- Fixed an issue where the metadata file was not sent along with the scan job when text-fields were left blank on the control panel.
- Fixed an issue with transmission interruptions when scanning a document to an http server. Previously, if the transmission was interrupted, it caused a 'File transfer error' to be reported in the CM8060 Job Log.
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
No fixes were made to the Copier Diagnostic Field Tool.

Enhancements
The following new functionality or features are provided by this firmware release: 20101111 80.100.3
Base Product:
Analog Fax:
- Created a new menu option called "Clear Fax Recipient List". With this feature enabled, dialed fax number(s) from each sent fax will be cleared from the recipient list. This allows users to continue faxing to different number(s) without manually removing the previous fax number from the recipient list. This helps prevent faxes being sent to unintended numbers and prevents sending multiple individual faxes to the same number. When the option is disabled, dialed fax number(s) will remain fixed in the fax recipient list after each sent fax unless the user selects "Reset" or selects "Continue" and manually removes the previous number from the recipient list.
- Note: Option is set to "disabled" by default.
- The option can be enabled/disabled by the following:
- Control panel: Administration >> Initial Setup >> Fax Setup >> Fax Send Settings >> Clear Fax Recipient List
- EWS: Settings >> Configure Device >> Initial Setup >> Fax Setup >> Fax Send Settings >> Clear Fax Recipient List
Job Storage
- Print speed has improved when retrieving multiple stored jobs together. Previously, print speeds were slower in comparison to other HP products (e.g. CP4020).
- Note: The speed has improved in cases of retrieving multiple jobs.
However, jobs can intermittently print out in a different order.

Enhancements
The following new functionality or features are provided by this firmware release: 20100421 79.005.0
Base Product:
LAN Fax:
- Changed the ScannerName field in the LAN Fax metadata file (.hpf) to be configurable. Previously the ScannerName field
was always set to "HP CM8060 [or CM8050] Color MFP with Edgeline Technology". The ScannerName field in the LAN Fax metadata
file is now set to the Edgeline’s Device Name, which can be specified in the Embedded Web Server (EWS) Settings tab or in
Web Jetadmin (WJA). For backward compatibility, if the Device Name in EWS/WJA is left at the factory default "HP CM8060
[or CM8050] MFP with Edgeline", the ScannerName field is set to "HP CM8060 [or CM8050] Color MFP with Edgeline Technology",
which is what it always was previously. If the Device Name in EWS/WJA is left blank, the ScannerName field is set to the
device’s IP address. This change matches the behavior that HP’s Digital Sending Software uses for ScannerName. Note that
some LAN Fax software (e.g. RightFax) uses the ScannerName field for LAN Fax software license tracking, so if you change
the Device Name from the factory default (which will in turn be used for the ScannerName field in the .hpf file) you may
also need to change your LAN Fax software configuration.
- Changed the UserName field in the LAN Fax metadata file (.hpf) to use the logged-in user’s sAMAccountName instead of
their email address. This enables LAN Fax software to work correctly.
Notification Server:
- Added the ability to specify the Port Number for the Notification Server. Previously the port was fixed at port 25. The
Notification Server is used for sending Alerts and for sending AutoSend data.
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
Print Settings:
- New "Low Color Percentage Mode" setting to change decap spit for magenta from 4 dpn (drops per nozzle) to 6 dpn to fix magenta startup issue.
Performance Settings:
- New "Add Dry Spins" control to add additional dry spins (up to 2 additional dry spins) to the existing drying algorithm. Note that Cardstock setting must be tried first before increasing dry spins.
Note: For both new settings, the unit must be restarted so the change takes effect.
Fixes
The following fixes are provided by this firmware release: 20100421 79.005.0
Base Product:
Scan to Folder:

Enhancements
The following new functionality or features are provided by this firmware release: 20091130 77.018.0
Base Product:
Page Counting:
- Implemented a new method of page counting (known as Print Usage Tracker), which can be enabled if desired. The administrator or owner of the product has the option either to enable the new counting method or to do nothing. If the new counting method is enabled the device cannot return to the previous counting method. It is important to understand this. If the feature is not enabled, nothing will change on the device and it will continue to count pages the same as it originally did from the factory.
- Background: Current page counting methods were designed to enable efficient service and support. The Print Usage Tracker feature implements new page counting methods which are more aligned with today’s job accounting needs.
- Additional information: For more information about the Print Usage Tracker feature, visit www.hp.com/support/cm8060edgeline.
- Select "Manuals" from the section titled "Resources for HP CM8000 Color Multifunction Printer series"
- Then search for "Print Usage Tracker" to locate a document in the "White papers" category.
- How to enable the feature: If desired, use the following steps to enable the new page counting method (known as Print Usage Tracker) via the product’s Embedded Web Server.
- Verify that your device firmware version is 20091130 77.018.0 or greater. If necessary, upgrade your device firmware to a version that includes this feature.
- The Print Usage Tracker acceptance and activation screen is available from the product’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) at the following location: EWS >> Settings >> General Security >> Print Usage Tracker
- Review the acceptance screen so that the changes are understood and you are comfortable with how the changes may or may not affect your HP device or product use model.
- If you are comfortable with the acceptance statements and the new counting functionality, choose to enable the feature. As stated previously it is very important to understand that once enabled the device cannot return to the previous counting method.
- Select "I Accept"
- Select "Enable the Print Usage Tracker feature on this device"
- Press "Apply"
* NOTE: Currently this functionality can only be enabled through the product’s Embedded Web Server (EWS). In the future, HP will provide the ability to enable this functionality through HP’s Device management software called HP WebJet Admin. The WebJet Admin support pages can be accessed using the following URL:www.hp.com/go/webjetadmin
Copy:
- Implemented the Book Copy feature which can be used to scan and print pages from a book. The feature includes options for copying book covers, books with right binding and left binding, and skipping pages when copying. The feature also supports the standard Copy options including; single or double sided output, stapling, media size selection, watermarks, etc.
- The Book Copy feature is available under the Copy menu from the Home Screen of the control panel.
- Instructions for using the Book Copy feature are available on the device Help menu. From the device Home Screen select "?" >> "Copy" >> "Book Copy".
Scanning:
- Added new color adjustment options for Saturation and Temperature when scanning documents (similar to options supported by Copy). The options are available for Scan to Email or Scan to Folder under the "Color Adjustment" menu item.
- Saturation can be adjusted on a scale from "less" to "more".
- Temperature can be adjusted on a scale from "cooler" to "warmer".
Job Storage:
- Improved the print speed of retrieving multiple Stored Jobs (with PIN) from the Job Storage application.
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
Diagnostics and Calibrations:
- Implemented changes for CDFT calibrations that use paper to first check the Paper Low sensor in the selected paper tray. If the paper status is low, a paper low message will be reported before starting the calibration.
- Added a diagnostic button to the CDFT Carriage tool page that will exercise the carriages and test the encoder strips. This is the same carriage diagnostic used during the power on process.
Event Log:
- Implemented four new warning codes to improve troubleshooting media size mismatch and horizontal transport paper length measurement calibration failures.
- Every time the unit initiates a Horizontal Transport Media Length Detection Calibration routine it will log a DD.0350 warning code. This will happen if the Horizontal transport drive rollers PM counter is reset or the page count accumulated 50K pages since the last calibration.
- Every time the unit completes the Horizontal Transport Media Length Detection Calibration routine and stores a new correction factor in NVM it will log a DD.0351 warning code.
- Media that is measured too short will log a DD.0352 warning code and the control panel will display "Media size mismatch" message.
- Media that is measured too long will log a DD.0353 warning code and the control panel will display "Media size mismatch" message.
Print Settings:
- Added a new print setting called "Enhanced Gray Scale Mode" to the "Printing Settings" tool page in CDFT.
- This setting is disabled by default and should be enabled only in some specific cases where a unit is printing a high volume of black-only pages containing graphics. This mode is not required for Text only black pages.
- When enabled, the mode will increase the number of decap spits for black only from 3 dpn (drops per nozzle) to 6 dpn. This increment to the decap dpn for black will decrease the life of the drum spittoon by approximately 10%. The actual percentage depends on the average job length and not image content.
- The setting can be accessed in CDFT through the following:
- Select Settings/Procedures.
- Select Print Settings.
- Press the arrow to select "Enabled".
- Press "Save Changes".
- Confirm the selection by selecting "OK" in the dialog box.
- Exit CDFT and press the power button on the control panel then select Restart. The new setting will take effect after the unit has been restarted.
Fixes
The following fixes are provided by this firmware release: 20091130 77.018.0
Base Product:
Scanning:
- Resolved an issue causing A4 documents to have a slightly too large width size (210.31 mm vs. 210.00 mm) when scanned to a PDF file.
Print Quality:
- Modified pen temperature pre-conditioning that improves pen start up reliability to correct a print quality defect that may occur on some MFPs when they are used primarily for printing black. The defect usually occurs on the first page of a color print job and may appear as faded colors due to the absence of one of the color inks. In most of the cases observed in the field only magenta was affected but this change was applied to all color pens as a preventive measure.
Fax and Email Notifications:
- Fixed a defect causing garbage characters to be printed on the Fax Notification page when the device is set to a 2-byte language (such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian). The characters in the month field will now appear in English.
- Fixed a defect causing garbage characters to be displayed on the Email Notification page when the device is set to a 2-byte language (like Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian). The email notification will be displayed in the specified language while the print-out notification will be in English.
- Fixed a defect causing a PCL page to be printed when Fax Notification was selected on a device configured in the Russian language. The print-out notification will be in English.
Firmware:
- Resolved numerous JetDirect firmware defects which caused intermittent printing hangs which require a power cycle of the MFP.
- Resolved an issue which caused the control panel to freeze occasionally when the Copy time/date stamp feature was used.
Alerts:
- Resolved a defect causing the incorrect part number to be displayed in the email Alert for Staple Cartridge Low.
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
Fault Isolation:
- Fixed a defect affecting the Scan and Analyze feature (available in CDFT-L only) for units configured to use metric media sizes. The internal test target for Vertical Banding test was always printed on 8.5 x 11 instead of A4 media. A new item has been added for Vertical Banding test using A4 media.

Enhancements
The following new functionality or features are provided by this firmware release: 20090616 76.008.0
Base Product:
Firmware:
- Added a new Sleep configuration option called "Re-enter sleep after print jobs finish" to optimize power saving from network printing.
- The option is enabled by default.
- When the "Re-enter sleep after print jobs finish" option is enabled the device will behave as follows:
- If the device is in Sleep and a print job is received the device will wake up and print the job then wait for 1 minute for any other activity on the device. If no additional activity occurs the device will return to Sleep. If additional activity occurs during this 1 minute the device will stay awake until the Sleep Delay inactivity timer is reached.
- Any non-print job activity which wakes the device from Sleep (including Copy job, opening paper tray, control panel interaction) will cause the device to stay awake until the Sleep Delay inactivity timer is reached.
- When the "Re-enter sleep after print jobs finish" option is disabled the device will behave as follows:
- Any time the device wakes from Sleep (including a print job) it will stay awake until the Sleep Delay inactivity timer is reached.
- Note: Disabling this option will affect special power saving features and will result in higher power usage, by not optimizing the power savings in the CM8060 and potentially exceeding the 2009 Energy Star limits for the CM8050.
- The option can be enabled/disabled from the Control Panel at:
- Administration >> Time/Scheduling >> Sleep Schedule >> "Re-enter sleep after print jobs finish" checkbox
- The option can be enabled/disabled from the Embedded Web Server at:
- Settings >> Sleep Schedule >> ""Re-enter sleep after print jobs finish" checkbox
Digital Send:
- Implemented a Digital Send Log to record Digital Sending activities. The log includes details of Digital Send jobs such as; user, time, number of pages, destination e-mail addresses, file size, etc.
- The Digital Send Log can be accessed through the Embedded Web Server at:
- Note: The Digital Send Log will only record Digital Send activities which occurred after upgrading to the firmware version 20090616 76.008.0. The previous Digital Send activities can be accessed through the Job Status application.
High-capacity Input Tray:
- Implemented changes to reduce the frequency of jams in the high-capacity input tray.
Print Cartridges:
- Extended the "in-printer" ink cartridge life from 12 months to 22 months (an extension of ten months) when installed on or before the install-by date printed on the box. This allows the ink cartridges to be used in the MFP for a longer period of time before they are reported as "Expired".
Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Added the ability to specify LDAP administrator credentials when configuring LDAP device sign-in.
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
Fault Isolation:
- Improved the automatic IDS air purge routine by reducing the "Pressurize" timing from 2 minutes down to 40 seconds. Depressurization will now automatically occur after 40 seconds.
- Improved the automatic IDS air purge instructions to clarify that the "Depressurize" button should be pressed immediately after the ink tubes are full of ink and not wait for the automatic timeout to occur.
- Improved the way Pen Pocket failures are reported. The error D2.0723 (Multiple Pen Pocket PCAs have failed) will now only occur when ALL the pocket boards report power bad. Any other single or combination of pocket board power bad conditions will report a specific pocket board failure.
- Added ""EN21 Carriage 1 PPS index" and "EN22 Carriage 2 PPS index" to the CDFT Carriage tool page to allow testing of the PPS home position sensor.
- Added the ""EN14 Media Thickness" encoder to the IDO Motors tool page so that changes to this encoder value can be monitored while "M10 Input 2" motor is running. The EN14 encoder will now display the negative sign when appropriate rather than the absolute value on both the IDO Motors and IDO Sensors, Solenoids, LEDs tool pages.
Event Log:
- Implemented two new warning codes to improve troubleshooting jams when the media thickness sensor measures media that is either too thin or too thick.
- Media that is measured too thin will continue to generate a C1.1301 (Top-of-form sensor paper jam) and will now be immediately followed by the new Warning code of DD.0346 which will indicate the jam was the result of media measured too thin.
- Media that is measured too thick will continue to generate a B2.1303 (Paper jam at IDO input staging 1 sensor) and will now be immediately followed by the new Warning code DD.0347 which will indicate the jam was the result of media measured too thick.
- Implemented two new warning codes to improve Carriage PPS troubleshooting when the Carriage PPS motors fail to home their PPS assemblies. Carriage 1 PPS homing failure will be reported as DD.6C01 (which should be treated as F1.01A4 for troubleshooting purposes). Carriage 2 PPS homing failure will be reported as DD.6C02 (which should be treated as F2.01A4 for troubleshooting purposes).
- Implemented a new warning code DD.0C77 to indicate that a level 3 pen servicing has occurred.
- Implemented a new warning code DD.0FD0 to indicate that a pen servicing procedure occurred due to an abnormal power-up condition.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Added instructions to the Web Initialization procedure in CDFT to remind the Service user to power cycle the MFP after performing a web initialization. An MFP power cycle is required to correctly synchronize the PM counter.
Fixes
The following fixes are provided by this firmware release: 20090616 76.008.0
Base Product:
Web Jet Admin (WJA):
- Resolved an issue causing WJA to display duplicate entries in the Event Log History Report.
- Resolved an issue causing WJA to display the oldest 50 entries in the device Event Log. WJA will now correctly display the most recent 50 entries from the Event Log.
Third Party Applications:
- Resolved an issue to allow the SafeCom solution to set the "from:" email address field using the logged in user's email address.
- Fixed numerous minor issues pertaining to Open Extensibility Platform (OXPD).
Copier Diagnostic Field Tool (CDFT):
Fault Isolation:
- Fixed a problem where a failure of the Index2 sensor on the Carriage1 Encoder PCA reports C1.132A (Clear paper jam at Carriage2 Pen Protection sensor) which incorrectly indicated a failure on Carriage2.
- Fixed an issue that caused the warning message C2.09A1 (Heater fan speed too low) to be reported incorrectly during the Dryer fan startup when no problem existed.
- Fixed an issue involving incorrect fault reporting due to door-open faults. If a carriage motor, drum motor or media eject motor stalls because the door was detected open, the door open condition will be reported.

FIRMWARE DATECODE: 20071204 73.022.0
Enhancements
Base Product:
- Device Sign In (Authentication):
- Added the ability to set username and password authentication information for setting up the notification server. The notification server is the
email server used for Alerts and Autosend.
- Firmware:
- Removed color content from internal print pages, except the supplies page, so they will no longer be counted as a color page.
- Changed Print behavior with respect to Email, Fax and Folder applications. By default now, and not configurable, queued print jobs will print even
as the user is configuring a job at the control panel from the Email, Fax or Folder application.
- Added a new setting "Hold Off Print Job" to the Administration Menu (Administration >> Device behavior >> General Copy Behavior). By
default the system will still give walkup copy and stored jobs higher priority than print jobs. This means that new print jobs will not start while a
user configures a job using the Copy or Job Storage application at the control panel. However, if the "Hold Off Print Job" configuration is
set to "Off", then print jobs will not be held off and will start printing even while a user is configuring a copy or stored job at the
control panel.
- Added functionality which enables the device to run a daily pen servicing calibration at a configurable time (default time 3:00AM). Some pen
servicing must still be done during normal device operation, but the scheduled daily calibration will reduce calibration delays during printing.
- Added a configuration item regarding long grain/short grain media types for large plain paper media types. This setting will override any other
settings (driver or control panel tray settings) and will apply to all trays. This will make it easier to set the entire machine as using either long
grain or short grain media for large sizes.
- Improved strings for Asian localizations based on field feedback.
- Added the ability for service to save the xml formatted device state information, known as the XDM, to a USB thumb drive.
- Added support for Greek fonts for the Watermark and Stamp functions.

applications.
- Image Quality:
- Adjusted color maps to improve issue of hue shifts in neutral colors.
- Removed some inadvertent undercolor from the neutral axis of the black only color maps and from the black only neutrals in color maps.
- Send to Email:
- Added the ability for digital sending jobs that originate from the ADF to use mixed size originals. This means that the media can have different
lengths in the ADF, but all media must still be the same width in the ADF.
- Enabled the use of send to email within a Lotus Notes environment.
- Third Party Applications:
- Provide job tracking information to 3rd party job accounting applications for family compatibility.
- The contents of the 'ext' folder on the D drive will be shown on the File Directory Internal Page. This folder is used by 3rd party applications
and will help to see what third party apps have been loaded on the system.

Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Prior to upgrading, please perform a machine data NVM Backup and ask the customer to backup their customer data. Should you need to downgrade after the
upgrade for any reason you will need to restore both the machine data and customer data in order to restore the machine completely back to its previous state.
- DO NOT REMOVE POWER from the MFP during an upgrade unless the MFP specifically asks you to. Removing power from the MFP during an upgrade can
damage the device. If power is lost to the MFP turn the hard power switch at the side of the MFP off and wait for 30 seconds then power back on. The MFP will
boot and ask you to resend the upgrade.
- The .RFU file is quite large. Depending on your connection speed, downloading the file could take several minutes. The upgrade process can take up to
45 minutes, depending on how much the firmware has changed in comparison to the version that is currently on the device.
SUPPORTED UPGRADE METHODS:
If you need to upgrade the device firmware, you can use any of the following methods,
please be sure to backup all
data before you begin.
- Use Copier Diagnostics Field Tool (L)
- Use HP Web Jetadmin

Expected device messages during an upgrade
The device displays three messages during a normal update process:
PRINTER MESSAGE
| EXPLANATION
|
RECEIVING UPGRADE
|
Displayed from the time the device recognizes the beginning of an .RFU update until the
time the printer has verified the validity and integrity of the .RFU update
|
PERFORMING UPGRADE: x% Complete |
Displayed while the device is actually reprogramming the DIMM with the .RFU update, this
message may actually not be seen due to how fast this stage goes. |
Processing... |
Occurs at the very start and the very end of the upgrade. May happen too fast to even see.
After the second Processing… message the MFP will reboot completing the upgrade process. |
NOTE: To verify that the firmware update succeeded, print a Configuration page from the printer's control panel and verify the firmware datecode shown on the Configuration page is the same as the datecode of the .RFU file you downloaded.
Troubleshooting a Firmware Upgrade
Print jobs sent to the printer while an update is in process will not interrupt the update.
The following table lists possible reasons for the failure of a Remote Firmware Update and the corrective action to take for each situation.
REASON FOR FIRMWARE UPDATE FAILURE
| RESULT / CORRECTIVE ACTION
|
.RFU file corrupted
|
The device will recognize that the file is corrupted and will reject the update. Download the image
again from the http://www.hp.com Web site and send the new file to the printer.
|
Wrong printer model |
The device will recognize the model in .RFU file mismatch and will reject the update. Download the
correct image from the http://www.hp.com Web site and send it to the printer. |
Update interrupted. |
No updated has occurred. A "Resend Upgrade" message will appear on the control panel. Resend the
upgrade package. |
Download Interrupted |
No update has occurred. Machine will boot to ready. Resend the upgrade package. |

where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
as of the date such litigation is filed.

as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
as modifying the License.
You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
the conditions stated in this License.
- Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify

incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
