HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 5700, 6700, 6701, X557, X55745, X654, X65455, X65465, MFP 5800, 6800, 6801, X57945, X58045, X677, X67755, X67765 - Install the optional printer stand

Follow these steps to install the optional printer stand.

1. Verify that the box for the optional printer stand includes the following items:

   • Installation instructions leaflet

   • Printer stand

   • Stabilizer feet (4)

2. Press the Power button to turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.

3. Disconnect the USB or network cable and the phone cable for the fax (if applicable) from the rear of the printer.

4. Place the printer stand on the floor in the location where the printer will reside, and then engage the locks on the wheels to prevent the printer stand from rolling.

5. Place the printer on top of the printer stand. Use the alignment pins to position the printer on the stand.

   Note:

   HP recommends that two people move the printer to place it on top of the printer stand.

6. Remove the bottom tray from the printer.

   CAUTION:

   Do not use the paper tray as a step.

7. Inside the tray cavity, on the bottom, right side, close the latch to lock the bottom tray of the printer to the printer stand.

8. Reinsert the bottom tray into the printer and close the tray.

   CAUTION:

   Keep hands out of paper tray when closing.

9. Install the four stabilizer feet on the bottom corners of the printer stand and make sure they fit securely in the slots.

10. Reconnect the USB or network cable and the phone cord for fax (if applicable) to the rear of the printer.

11. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer, and then press the Power button to turn on the printer.
