Samsung SF-560, SF-565 Laser MFP - Clearing Original Document Jams

This document shows you how to clear a paper jam in the printer. When an original document jams while passing through the automatic document feeder (ADF), Document Jam displays on the control panel.

note:
To prevent document jams, do not use thick, thin or mixed documents.

To avoid tearing the document, pull out the jammed document gently and slowly.

Jam in the input area

If paper is jammed in the input area of the automatic document feeder, use these steps to release the jammed paper.

Remove any remaining pages from the ADF.
Pull the jammed document gently out of the ADF.

Load the documents back into the ADF.

Jam in the exit area

If paper is jammed in the exit area of the automatic document feeder, use these steps to release the jammed paper.

Remove any remaining pages from the ADF.
Open the control panel by gripping it on the bottom and pulling it upward.
Pull the document gently out of the ADF.

Close the control panel. Load the documents back into the ADF.
