CSR Part Return Instructions - Americas

USA and Canada

Important: All parts must be returned within 5 calendar days of receipt. Failure to follow these procedures may result in an invoice for the cost of the part.
  1. Check for a return label in the "poly pouch" attached to the outer box. If no return label came with the part or if you lost the return label, request one updating your case or by calling 1-844-713-7593.
  2. After completing the install, return the defective part to HP within 5 calendar days of when you received it.
  3. Return the defective part using the box your new replacement part came in.
  4. Package the part carefully using the packaging material that came with the new part.
  5. Seal the box with packaging tape.
  6. Apply the return label to the box, covering up the original shipping label.
  7. Give the part to UPS. You can drop off at UPS pickup center, give to driver as part of regular UPS pickup or call UPS to arrange for a pickup.
  8. Keep the waybill number and RMA number for tracking purposes in the event you need to dispute a charge for not returning the part.

    note:
    If the replacement part is a hard drive and you have purchased Defective Media Retention (DMR) for the unit, please provide the manufacturer model, part number and serial number of the defective drive by updating your case or by calling 1-844-713-7593.

Latin America and Caribbean

Important: You must have the defective part available in order to receive your replacement part.
  1. You will receive the part through the courier or technician.
  2. Remove the defective part from your equipment before the courier or technician arrive with the replacement part.
  3. Once you have received the replacement part, provide the defective part to the courier or technician.
  4. The courier or technician will use the box in which you received the replacement part.
  5. If you have Scitex equipment, the courier or technician will arrange for pickup within 48 hours.
