HP LaserJet and Color LaserJet Enterprise Printers - 10.0x.60, 10.0x.69 and 10.0x.70 messages

Issue

The printer will indicate when a supply level is low and very low. Actual toner cartridge or image drum life might vary.
The numerical errors will only appear in the Event Log.
<Supply>= Toner cartridge or Image Drum color (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow)
  • 10.0x.60 (Event Log): Control Panel Message - <Supply> low
  • 10.0x.69 (Event Log):Control Panel Message - <Supply> very low
  • 10.0x.70 (Event Log):Control Panel Message - <Supply> Printing past very low
The 0X is a two digit code that represents a particular toner cartridge:
  • 00: Black Toner cartridge
  • 01: Cyan Toner cartridge
  • 02: Magenta Toner cartridge
  • 03: Yellow Toner cartridge
  • 05: Black Image Drum
  • 06: Cyan Image Drum
  • 07: Magenta Image Drum
  • 08: Yellow Image Drum

Solution

If print quality is no longer acceptable, replace the toner cartridge or image drum.
Consider purchasing a replacement cartridge and drum so it is available when the installed consumable has reached the end of its estimated life.
note:
After an HP supply has reached the very low threshold, the HP Premium Protection Warranty for that supply has ended.
HP recommends that customers have replacement supplies available to install when the print quality is no longer acceptable.
