DESCRIPTION

The computer fails to boot; it hangs displaying the following text:

ERROR: PBA returned 139. |grep: /wm/logs/pbn.log: no

The issue can occur if:

HP Drive Encryption (WinMagic) is enabled

and

More than two USB devices in conjunction with a docking station or external USB hub are connected when starting up

NOTE: HP Drive Encryption supports up to 16 USB devices. However, there are USB hubs in the computers and in the docking stations. Hence; the issue can occur, for instance, if the computer is docked and only two external USB devices are connected.
