DESCRIPTION
The Verizon Access Manager (VZAM) cannot turn on the AMO WWAN module and make a connection. If Auto-Detect is used, the VZAM displays one of the following error messages:

The WWAN device is disabled. Please enable the device and try again. (The WWAN device may be disabled by a wireless ON/OFF button. For more information, refer to the documentation that came with your computer.)
Figure 2: The service cannot be activated
The service isn't activated.
Contact Verizon Wireless to activate the service.

RESOLUTION
Complete the following procedure to resolve the issue:
  1. Download and install the Sierra Watcher for the Connection manager from the following link: .
  2. Configure the activated Verizon module.
  3. Restart the computer.
