HP Officejet 9100 All-in-One Series - Removing Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Input Tray

Issue:
How can an ADF Input Tray be removed from an HP Officejet 9100 All-in-One Series Printer?
Solution
The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Input Tray is used to stack papers to be loaded via the ADF. This tray is mounted on the ADF assembly using two projected tabs.
In order to remove the ADF Input Tray, remove all the papers from the tray and then complete the following steps:
  1. Hold the ADF cover from top and open it by gently pulling it up until it stands vertically to the unit. This will expose the ADF rollers as well as the ADF tray tabs that hold the tray to ADF assembly.
  2. To remove the ADF Input Tray, grasp the other end of the ADF Input tray.
  3. Gently pull the tray up so that it will release the catch on the projected tabs. It may be possible to feel when the tabs are released.
  4. Once the projected tabs are released, pull the ADF tray away from the ADF assembly.
note:
Care should be taken not to damage the projected tabs of the ADF Input Tray. Damaging these tabs will cause paper feeding issues, and the tray will not mount correctly on the ADF assembly.
