Go to the computer desktop and double-click My Computer.Figure : My computer icon

Double-click the Web Folders icon.Figure : Web Folders icon

When asked for the location of the folder to be added, type the URL of the HP Designjet scanner shared folder, for example http://scanner_ip/images (where scanner_ip is the IP address of the HP Designjet scanner). To find the IP address of the scanner, skip to the How to find the IP address of the scanner section at the bottom of this document. After you have finished typing the location information, press Next.Figure : Add Web folder

Enter a name for the folder.Figure : Web folder name

Click the Finish button, you will see all the files in the D:/images directory of the HP Designjet scanner system.Figure : Images folder

To view the folder, go back to your desktop, click My Computer and then click on Web Folders. Your HP Designjet scanner system folder has been added. For easy access, you may drag the Web folder to your desktop.

Now you can drag any file or folder from your local computer into the HP Designjet scanner Web folder. HP suggests that you create your files and folders on your computer rather than in the Web folder.To delete your Web folder, select it and, while pressing the Shift key, press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Click Finish to complete the setup.

MacOS 8 and 9
In MacOS 8 and MacOS 9 there is no native client to access a Web folder
directly, therefore you will need to download a WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) client to access the shared
folder. You can, for example, download the "goliath" client from
http://www.webdav.org/goliath/ and install it.

Type the HP Designjet scanner's IP address and the directory that you want to
connect to.

Finding the IP address of the scanner
You can find the IP address of your HP Designjet scanner by doing the following:

Exit the HP Designjet scan software.

Select Start, Programs, Accessories, then Command Prompt.

Write ipconfig and press Enter, you will get a result similar to the following:C:\>ipconfigWindows 2000 IP ConfigurationEthernet adapter Local Area Connection:
