Faxes are sending slowly
The printer is experiencing poor phone line quality.
Click the heading below that corresponds with your control-panel type, and then try the solutions provided to resolve the
issue.

Follow these steps if your printer has a touchscreen control panel with a white background.

Solution one: This issue can be caused by poor phone line quality. Try sending the fax again when the line conditions have improved.

Solution two: Check with the phone service provider to make sure that the line supports fax.

Solution three: Turn off the Error Correction setting.
Note:
Turning off the Error Correction setting can reduce image quality.

From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe right and then touch the Fax icon.

Swipe right and touch the Setup icon.

Touch Preferences.
-
Scroll to Error Correction Mode, and then touch Off.

Solution four: Use white paper for the original. Do not use colors such as gray, yellow, or pink.

Solution five: Increase the Fax Speed setting.

From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe right and then touch the Fax icon.

Swipe right and touch the Setup icon.

Touch Preferences, and then scroll to and touch Speed.

Touch the desired speed setting.

Solution six: Divide large fax jobs into smaller sections, and then fax them individually.

Solution one: Increase fax resolution when sending faxes.

Resolution does not affect received faxes.
Increasing resolution slows transmission speed.

From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe right and then touch the Fax icon.

Touch the Send Now icon.

, and then touch Resolution.

Touch the desired resolution setting.

Solution two: Turn on the Error Correction Mode setting.

Swipe right and touch the Setup icon.

If the paper size settings on the printer do not match the paper size of the document being faxed, the received
fax might be missing content, or it could print on two pages.

Note:
If the Fit to Page setting is turned Off, and the Default Paper Size setting is set to Letter, a legal-size original prints on two pages.
