DESCRIPTION
The message HP Programmable Key is not installed. Please install the app from Windows Store or from HP Downloads. is displayed. This occurs when the F12 key is pressed on the keyboard.
This issue impacts all HP computers with the MyHP app, version 1.9.53005.0 (or earlier).

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and install MyHP app version 1.10.53217.0 or later from the Microsoft Store.
note:
If the auto update feature is set to ON in Settings for the Microsoft Store, myHP is updated automatically.
If the auto update feature is not set to ON, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Microsoft Store.
  2. Click in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. Click Downloads and updates.
  4. Click Installed on the left menu.
  5. Click myHP to update.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
