HP Printers - Using a Wireless Network Test Report

This document is for all HP wireless printers.
Print a Wireless Network Test Report to test your printer's wireless network connection.

Step 1: Print a Wireless Network Test Report

Use the printer control panel to print a Wireless Network Test, and then continue to the next step.
  • HP inkjet printers with a touchscreen control panel: Open the Wireless menu, touch the Setup icon , touch Print Reports, and then touch Wireless Test Report.
  • HP inkjet printers without a touchscreen control panel: Depending on your printer, either press the Wireless button and Information button at the same time, or press the Wireless button and Start Copy Black button at the same time.
  • HP LaserJet printers: Press and hold the Wireless button for 10 seconds or until the Ready light blinks, or go to the Wireless menu, and then navigate to the Wireless Network Test.
  • HP Laser NS and Neverstop Laser printers: Press and hold the Resume and Wireless buttons for 3 seconds.
  • HP Tango, DeskJet 6000, 6400, and ENVY 6000, 6400 printers: Touch and hold the Information button until all control panel buttons light up, and then touch the Information and Resume buttons at the same time.

Step 2: Review the test results

Review each test in the Diagnostics Summary or Diagnostics Results section for results such as FAIL, Low, or Poor. Some failed tests might cause other tests not to run.
