HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200 - Replacement Printer Instructions

This document is for HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200a, 1200w, 1202w, 1200n, 1201n, 1200nw, and 1202nw printers.
When HP replaces your defective product, some accessories or parts need to be transferred from the defective product to the replacement product.
note:
  • Some optional accessories might not be included with your product model.
  • Keep any optional accessories that you bought separately.
Follow these steps to make sure that you remove and keep the correct printer accessories before you send the printer back to HP.
  1. Turn the printer off, and then disconnect the power cord.
  2. Lift the scanner, and then open the top cover.

  3. Using the handle, pull the imaging drum up and out to remove it, and then set it aside.
      caution:
    Do not touch the green roller. Fingerprints and smudges can damage the imaging drum and affect print quality.

  4. Close the top cover, and then lower the scanner.

  5. Tape the scanner lid closed.
  6. Remove the paper cover and the input tray.

  7. Pack the printer, paper cover, and input tray in a box that is large enough to hold the printer and packing material.
  8. Keep the following accessories to use with the replacement printer:
    • Imaging drum
      note:
      If you are not going to insert the imaging drum into the replacement printer immediately, put it into a plastic bag or box, and then store it in a cool, dry place out of direct light.

  9. On the replacement printer, lift the scanner, and then open the top cover.

  10. Hold the imaging drum by the handle, shake it at least five times to loosen the toner, align it with the tracks, and then insert it into the printer.

  11. Close the top cover, and then lower the scanner.

  12. Insert the input tray into its slot.

  13. Load paper, and then slide the input tray cover onto the tray.

  14. Connect the power cord to the rear of the replacement printer, and then plug it into a wall outlet.

  15. Turn on the replacement printer, and then test all printer functions.
