HP PCs - Using Leap Motion (Windows 7 and 8)

This document applies to Leap Motion devices used with HP PCs running Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Leap Motion technology is a different way to provide input and interact with your computer using gestures. The Leap Motion sensor can be used with other computer input devices. The sensor detects hand and finger motions made without touching the computer and interprets the gestures as mouse and keyboard inputs. The Leap Motion sensor tracks motions to within 0.01mm using 2 CCD cameras. A few applications for this technology include:
  • 3D modeling for art, science and robotics
  • Animation for art and games
  • Education for science, music, games, and technology
  • Imaging for music, presentations, and sterile environments
