DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Microsoft Silicon Support Policy, HP does not support or provide drivers for Windows 8 or Windows 7 on products configured with Intel or AMD 7th generation and forward processors.

SCOPE
Information in this document currently applies to the following computers that have 7th Generation processors:

RESOLUTION
HP products with 7th generation Intel or AMD processors only support Windows 10. Check with HP before ordering units if you require Windows 7 or Windows 8 support.
If you already have computers that you are considering downgrading to Windows 7 or Windows 8, check to see what processor the computer has. If the processor is among those listed in the SCOPE section of this document, Windows 7 and Windows 8 are NOT supported.
Checking to see what processor is installed on the computer:
  1. Type Run in the Search the web and Windows box.
  2. Click the Run Desktop app.
  3. Type msinfo32 in the Open box.
  4. Click OK to display the System Information window.
  5. The processor model will be listed in the System Summary.
