Printer reports provide status information and aid in resolving hardware, toner, and network connectivity problems for your printer.
Print an Information Report to find a summary of the printer information and its current status.
Turn on the printer.
On the printer control panel, press the Information button .
An Information Report prints.
Print a Configuration Report to find the product information, supplies status, event log, energy settings, and Web Services status.
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Information button for three seconds to enable support mode.
All buttons on the control panel light up.
Press the Resume button .
A Configuration Report prints.
Print a Network Summary Page to find the printer IP address, network name (SSID), and Wi-Fi Direct status.
Make sure the printer is connected to an active wireless network.
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Resume button for three seconds.
A Network Summary Page prints.
Print a Wireless Network Test Report to find the printer IP address and network diagnostics summary.
Make sure the printer is connected to an active wireless network.
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Information button for three seconds.
All buttons on the control panel light up.
Press the Information button and Resume button
simultaneously.
A Wireless Network Test Report prints.
Print an Adjust Alignment Test Page to center the print image on the page.
Open HP Smart and select your printer.
Click Advanced settings.
For Windows 7 and 8, open HP Printer Assistant, select Print, and then click Printer Home Page (EWS).
Click System > Service.
In the Adjust Alignment section, from the Tray 1 Size drop-down list, select the size, and then enter the values for X1 Shift, X2 Shift, and Y Shift.
Click Print Test Page.
