HP ENVY Inspire, OfficeJet - Cannot scan to a computer from the control panel (Windows)
When attempting to scan to the computer, a Setup Required message displays on the printer control panel. To scan to a computer from the control panel, install the printer software from HP.

Apple macOS does not support scanning from the control panel to a Mac. Use the HP Smart app or Apple Image Capture to scan. For more information, go to How to scan with an HP printer.
