HP 975 Dual-Mode Wireless Keyboard and HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard - Using the keyboard

Use the following procedure to pair an HP 93x Creator Wireless Mouse, HP 635 Multi-Device Wireless Mouse, or other supported mouse, and the HP 975 Dual-Mode Wireless Keyboard or the HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard to your computer using the keyboard receiver. Be sure to use the correct receiver.

1. Prepare the mouse using one of the following options:

   • If the mouse is not connected to the computer, continue to step 2.

   • If the mouse is currently connected to the computer, disconnect the receiver for the mouse from your computer.

     Remove the cover of the mouse (1), place the mouse receiver inside of the mouse (2), and then replace the cover on the mouse (3).

     After this step, the cursor is not displayed on-screen when you move the mouse.

     

2. Prepare the keyboard receiver using one of the following options.

   • If the keyboard is currently connected to the computer, disconnect the keyboard receiver from your computer. The keyboard no longer functions after this step.

   • If the keyboard is not connected to the computer, locate the keyboard receiver, but do not connect it to the computer.

3. If the keyboard is not charged, connect the keyboard to your computer using the USB cable that came with the keyboard, and charge it for 3 hours.

   

4. Move the keyboard switch to the on position.

   

5. Press and hold the mouse pairing button, located on either the bottom or the side of the mouse, until the receiver light turns on. Then, press and hold the button again for 3 to 10 seconds until the receiver light blinks.

   

6. Connect the keyboard receiver to your device.

   Note:

   To identify the keyboard receiver, verify that both a keyboard and a mouse icon are displayed on the receiver.

   

   Both the keyboard and supported mouse are connected to your computer using the keyboard receiver.
