The following sections contain important information about using a single receiver to connect the HP 975 Dual-Mode Wireless Keyboard or the HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard and a mouse to a computer, using the mute key, and using the keyboard with a Mac computer.

Connecting the keyboard and a supported mouse to a computer using a single receiver

Use the following procedure to pair an HP 93x Creator Wireless Mouse, HP 635 Multi-Device Wireless Mouse, or other supported mouse, and the HP 975 Dual-Mode Wireless Keyboard or the HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard to your computer using the keyboard receiver. Be sure to use the correct receiver.

  1. Prepare the mouse using one of the following options:

    • If the mouse is not connected to the computer, continue to step 2.

    • If the mouse is currently connected to the computer, disconnect the receiver for the mouse from your computer.

Remove the cover of the mouse (1), place the mouse receiver inside of the mouse (2), and then replace the cover on the mouse (3).

After this step, the cursor is not displayed on-screen when you move the mouse.
