HP Laser 100, 1000 Printers - Loading Paper, Envelopes
This document is for HP Laser 103a, 107a, 107r, 107w, 108a, 108w, 1003a, 1003w, 1008a, and 1008w printers.
Load paper or envelopes into the input tray.
Load plain paper
Load a stack of paper into the input tray.
Open the paper tray.
Slide out the paper-width guides as far as possible.
Load paper into the tray print side up with the top edge towards the printer. To prevent paper jams, make sure the stack is below the paper fill guide.
Slide in the paper-width guides until they touch the edge of the stack of paper.
Your printer is now ready to print. Before printing, make sure to select the correct paper size and settings from the computer.
Load envelopes
Load a stack of envelopes in the input tray.
Envelope guidelines
Review the following guidelines to make sure the envelope prints successfully.
Do not use envelopes with clasps, snaps, windows, coated linings, self-stick adhesives, or other synthetic materials that are susceptible to heat.
Do not use envelopes that are wrinkled, nicked, stuck together, or otherwise damaged.
If you use envelopes with peel-off adhesive strips, make sure they are approved for use in laser printers.
Only use envelopes recommended for laser printers.
Use envelopes with seams that extend to the corners.

Load envelopes into the input tray.
Slide in the paper-width guides until they touch the edge of the stack of envelopes.
Your printer is now ready to print on envelopes or photo paper. Before printing, make sure to select the correct paper size and settings from the computer.
