DESCRIPTION
The HP Active Pen may exhibit the following issues:
  • Pen cannot connect
  • Pen input is sluggish or delayed
  • Pen input intermittently skips
  • Pen input not detected
This is most likely due to weak or dead batteries.

RESOLUTION
Before calling HP, please check and, if needed, replace the batteries. The pen uses 3 batteries:
  • Pen battery: One triple-A (AAA) 1.5-volt battery in the pen barrel
  • Bluetooth batteries: Two SR527SW Li-Ion coin-cell batteries in the pen cap
All of the batteries must be good for the pen to operate properly.
