Default settings are shared across all fax methods; analog, LAN, and internet fax.

Steps vary according to the type of control panel.

1. Get the IP address:
   • FutureSmart 3: From the Home screen on the printer control panel, select the Network button to display the IP address or host name.
   • FutureSmart 4: From the Home screen on the printer control panel, select the Information icon, and then select the Network icon to display the IP address or host name.
2. Open a Web browser, and in the address line, type the IP address or host name of the printer exactly as it displays on the printer control panel. Press the Enter key on the computer keyboard. The EWS opens.

   note:

   If the Web browser displays a message indicating that accessing the website might not be safe, select the option to continue to the website. Accessing this website will not harm the computer.

1. Using the EWS top navigation tabs, click Fax.
2. In the left navigation pane, click Fax Send Setup.
3. In the Scan Settings area, configure the default settings that describe the original documents.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Fax Send Setup and then click Default Job Options.
3. On the Common Job Settings tab, select options, and then click Apply.

You can configure Quick Sets to create and save frequently-used settings for future use. When a user selects a Quick Set for a job from the printer control panel, the Quick Set overrides the default settings.

• FutureSmart 3: In the EWS, use the controls in the Quick Set area of the Fax Send Setup screen.
• FutureSmart 4: In the EWS, click Quick Sets in the left navigation pane under Fax Send Setup and select the settings.
