Step 1
Using a non-marring flat-bladed tool, carefully release the display panel assembly from the display enclosure.

Step 2
Lift the display panel assembly off of the display enclosure until you have access to the battery and display panel ZIF connectors.

Step 3
Disconnect the battery cable from its connector on the system board.

Step 4
Using minimal force, lift the locking bar up on the display panel ZIF connector and disconnect the display panel ribbon cable from the system board.

Step 5
Remove the display panel assembly.

Step 1
Before installing a new display panel assembly, remove the display panel cable from the old display panel assembly and install it on the new display panel assembly.

Step 2
Place the display panel assembly in front of the display enclosure so that you have access to the display panel cable and ZIF connector.

Step 3
Insert the display panel ribbon cable into the display panel ZIF connector on the system board and press the locking bar down to lock the cable into place.

Step 4
Insert the battery cable into its connector on the system board.

Step 5
Place the display panel assembly into position on the display enclosure.

Step 6
Carefully press down on the edges of the display panel assembly to snap it into place.
