Files and folders stored on the memory cards can be accessed through the HP File Manager app, or through whichever app or apps open the file types (for example, image files stored on a memory card appear in the Gallery app). Use HP File Manager to move or copy files between memory cards and the computer's local storage.
To insert a memory card, push the card into the card reader slot located on the left edge of the computer display.

Using an online cloud storage solution
Online cloud storage services, such as Box, save your files on the Web so that they can be accessed anywhere. The Box app comes preinstalled on your computer. With Box, you can save files to the Web and immediately have access to them on another device. You can also share access to your files with others, post comments and create discussions. Files stored in Box are available from any computer with Internet access, and can be downloaded and saved to local storage. Other online cloud storage apps are available in the Google Play Store (in English).
Frequently asked questions about working with files
Refer to the following answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) about working with files on your HP desktop computer.
Can I connect the computer to another device to transfer files?
To transfer files, use one of the solutions recommended in this document (USB storage drive, memory card, or online storage). Connecting other Android devices to the computer using a USB cable activates the Gallery app. Within the Gallery app, photos can be imported to the computer.
How do I print my files?
Refer to the HP support document Printing from your HP Desktop Computer for information about printing methods.
Why can't I see the files on my memory card or USB drive?
If you have connected a memory card or USB drive but you cannot find the files on your computer, and the storage device does not appear in HP File Manager, use the following steps:
  1. If possible, test the storage device using another computer, to make sure the device is functioning correctly.
If you cannot access the device on the other computer, there may be a problem with the device. Contact the device manufacturer for support or replace the device. If the storage device is functioning properly, continue to the next step.
  2. Remove and reinsert the storage device on your computer.
If the computer can now see the device and files, you are done. If the device still does not appear in HP File Manager, continue to the next step.
  3. On the Home page, click or touch the All apps icon, and then click or touch the Settings icon.
  4. In the Device section, click or touch Storage.
    Figure : Storage
    Storage
  5. Click or touch Mount SD card or Mount USB storage (depending on the type of storage device you are using).
If the storage device mounted successfully, check to see if your device now appears in HP File Manager. If the Mount option is not available for your storage device, continue to the next step.
  6. With the storage device connected, restart your computer. Press and hold the power button, click or touch Power off, and then click or touch OK. When the computer is fully powered off, press and hold the power button again until the HP logo appears on the screen.
Check to see if your device now appears in HP File Manager. If the storage device is still not available, your computer may need to be serviced. Contact HP for support.
