RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, complete the following procedure:
  1. Turn on or restart the computer, and then press esc while the "Press the ESC key for Startup Menu" message is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Press F10 to enter Computer Setup.
  3. Under File, select RestoreDefaults.
  4. Click Yes.
  5. Click SaveChanges and Exit.
  6. Use the following link to download and install Symantec Endpoint Encryption - Full Disk Edition Version 8.2.1 MP6:
At the bottom of the page, next to "You can download this version from Symantec File Connect", click Symantec File Connect.
