Introduction
This document is provided to assist in removing and replacing the battery for the Compaq Evo n800v Notebook PC.
Minimum skill level
The End User requires no hardware-specific training to replace the defective part. The End user should have familiarity with system hardware and software requiring repair.

Battery removal
  1. Review the safety considerations before performing the steps listed below by clicking on the following link:
      caution:
    Failure to comply with the precautions could result in damage to your product or loss of data.
  2. Slide and hold the battery release latch in the unlock position.
  3. Use your finger to grasp the notch behind the bezel and slide the battery out of the battery bay.
  4. Remove the battery bezel by sliding it off the end of the battery.
Battery replacement
  1. Slide the battery bezel onto the end of the new battery.
  2. Slide the battery into the battery bay until the battery release latch clicks.
