HP iPAQ 614c Business Navigator - Text Prediction and Auto-Completion Works with XT9

CompIME provides improved text-prediction functionality. Text prediction, also called auto-completion or auto-selection, can significantly improve the users’ text input experience. Users see a dynamic list of word candidates as they type. The user then selects a completed word from this list. The words in the list are pulled from the content previously entered by the user combined with the entries in a static Dictionary. If a combination of words is entered frequently, the algorithm may offer the next word in the Combination as part of the list. Words are ranked in the candidate list based on how recently they were last typed, how frequently they have been typed, and the preceding words. In Microsoft Windows Mobile 6, this list has been expanded to show four candidate words.

Text prediction and auto-completion (CompIME) works with the XT9 input device. To enable this option, follow these steps:

1. Tap Start >> Settings >> Input.

2. Select XT9 from the drop-down list.

3. Tap Options.

4. Check the necessary options as per your requirement and settings.

5. Once the options are selected, tap Done.

6. Check the necessary options as per your requirement and settings.

7. Tap OK.

XT9 on the HP iPAQ 600 Business Navigator series will work only with XT9 and the keypad on the phone only.
