JetSend for Windows CE Devices - Setting Defaults

Default location of the JetSend Exchanger Files
This procedure sets the default location for the JetSend Exchanger folder, which is the holding place for files you want to send or relocate to another folder on your mobile device. If the default folder is not available when a JetSend transmission comes in, JetSend for Windows CE Devices prompts for a new default location.
Setting the default
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Exchanger.
  2. Select File, and then Preferences.
  3. On the General tab, use the Browse button to locate and select the new default folder. (You can also type the information.)
  4. Select OK.
Default quality, color, and file format
This procedure sets the default characteristics for documents and images you receive.

Quality and performance are a function of the settings for both the sending and receiving devices. Click here to see the JetSend for Windows CE Devices Web Reference for details on options.
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Exchanger.
  2. Select File, and then Preferences.
  3. On the Receive tab, select the defaults you want:
    • Options for quality: High (higher quality, slower speed), Normal (average), Text (lower quality, higher speed.)
    • Options for color: Color (slower), Grayscale (average), and Monochrome (faster.)
    • Options for file format: JetFile, TIFF, and Default.
  4. Select OK.
Default action for receiving Contact information
This procedure sets the default action when your device receives duplicate contact information.
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Exchanger.
  2. Select File, and then Preferences.
  3. On the Outlook tab, use the down arrow next to the Contacts field to select the action.
    • Options: Duplicate (duplicates Contact), Overwrite, and Prompt (for each Contact).
  4. Select OK.
Default action for receiving Appointment information
This procedure sets the default action when your device receives duplicate Appointment information.
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and Exchanger.
  2. Select File, and then Preferences.
  3. On the Outlook tab, use the Down Arrow next to the Appointments field to select the action.
    • Options: Duplicate (duplicates Appointment), Overwrite, and Prompt (for each Appointment).
  4. Select OK.
Default action for receiving Tasks
This procedure sets the default action when your device receives duplicate Task information.
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Exchanger.
  2. Select File, and then Preferences.
  3. On the Outlook tab, use the Down Arrow next to the Tasks field to select the action.
    • Options: Duplicate (duplicates Task), Overwrite, and Prompt (for each Task).
  4. Select OK.
Default Viewer Font
This procedure sets the default font for documents opened in the JetSend Viewer.
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Viewer.
  2. Select Edit, and then Font.
  3. In the Font dialog box, select the font characteristics you want.
    • Options: Any of the standard Microsoft (R) Windows CE fonts, sizes, and styles
  4. Select OK.
Set to Auto Receive at startup
For setting JetSend Exchanger to Auto Receive Mode at startup follow the steps below:
  1. Select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Exchanger.
  2. Select File, Preferences.
  3. Check box next to 'Automatically receive when JetSend Exchanger is launched' and press OK.
  4. Close Exchanger and select Start, Programs, JetSend, and then Exchanger.
This will result in the JetSend Exchanger being launched in Receive Mode to listen for incoming jobs on all transports. Repeat procedure 1-4 to reactivate if needed.
