DESCRIPTION
An HP Sure View installation error occurs on certain versions of Windows 20H1 and 20H2. This occurs with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) SoftPaqs on Windows 20H1 build 19041.508 and Windows 20H2 build 19042.508.
The following message is displayed:
Unable to launch HP Sure View. HP Application Enabling Service is not installed or not running. Please go through Windows Update to install HP Application Enabling Services.

This does not occur during SoftPaq installation on Windows 20H1 build 19041.685 and 20H2 build 19042.685.

RESOLUTION
To prevent this from occurring, download and install Microsoft Updates prior to installing any Universal Windows Platform (UWP) SoftPaqs. The SoftPaq can be install correctly once Windows Updates are current.
  1. Connect your computer to the internet.
  2. Click Start > Settings.
  3. Click Update & Security.
  4. Click Windows Update.
  5. Click Check for updates.
    Windows Update downloads and installs the latest updates automatically (a restart might be required).
  6. Download the following SoftPaq to install HP Sure View.
