HP Notebooks or Mobile Workstations may have a light leakage or backlight bleeding through on an LCD screen. The light leakage may be noticeable around the edges of the LCD screen while displaying a dark background or in a dark environment.

Some light leakage is common on LCD panels used in notebook computers. Higher pixel densities and thinner panels will naturally result in some level of noticeable light leakage when the screen is black and viewed in a dark room. Light leakage is typically not visible during normal use.
HP inspects HP Notebook PCs for light leakage in a typical office lighting environment according to standard industry practices. These measurements are taken during development and production of HP Notebook PCs to ensure that light leakage levels will not interfere with the high performance requirements of these products.
If you feel that the light leakage you observe is excessive, and is noticeable with a light background color during normal use, please contact HP Service.
