Samsung ProXpress MFP SL-C4060, SL-C4062 - Replacing the Waste Toner Container

This document explains how to replace the waste toner container. When the life span of the waste toner container has expired, a waste toner container-related message appears on the control panel screen display, indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Check the waste toner container for your printer, see Available supplies.
  • Toner particles can be released inside the printer but it does not mean the printer is damaged. If print quality problems occur, contact HP Customer Support.
  • When pulling out the waste toner container out of the printer, move the container carefully to prevent dropping the container.
  • Make sure to lay the waste container on a flat surface to prevent spilling any toner.
  caution:
Do not tilt or turn over the container.

Replacing the waste toner container

Use these steps to replace the waste toner container.
  1. Turn your printer off, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer, and then wait a few minutes for the machine to cool.

  2. Locate the printer's side cover. It will be located on the left side of the printer when looking at the front.

  3. Press as indicated to release the locking mechanism on waste toner container (1), and then press on areas as indicated to pull old waste toner container from printer (2).
    Carefully remove waste toner container as indicated (a).

      caution:
    Make sure to lay the waste toner container on a flat surface to prevent spilling.
  4. Remove the new waste toner container from the box. Once removed, place the new waste toner container cover on the old toner container before discarding it (a). Insert the new waste toner container into position, and then gently push it into the printer (b).

  5. Close the side door, gently but firmly.
  6. Plug the printer in, and then power it on to resume printing.
