Samsung Multifunction Laser Printers - "Not Available" Displays When Scanning to PC

A "Not Available" message displaying on the printer means the Scan to PC function is not configured. To learn how to configure Easy Document Creator, see "How to Configure Scan to PC Using Easy Printer Manager in Windows".
Before using the Scan to PC function, make sure the most updated scan driver has been downloaded. Go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.

Check the following if the scan function is not working correctly in Windows:

Make sure the Scan to PC option is enabled in Easy Printer Manager.
  1. Open Easy Printer Manager.
Figure : Easy Print Manager Screen
  2. If Basic mode is showing, select the Switch to advanced mode icon at the top right.
    Figure : Select advanced mode
  3. Make sure the correct printer is highlighted and click the Scan to PC Settings tab.
Figure : Select Scan to PC Settings
  4. In the Scan to PC Settings section, check the circle to the left of Enable Scan from Device Panel.
Figure : Scan to PC Settings window
  5. To adjust where the files save, scroll down to File Settings and select the folder.
Figure : Scroll down to File Settings
  6. When finished, click Save and then exit the program.
Figure : Click Save when finished
If the printer is connected to a Network:
  1. Make sure Easy Printer Manager is configured for the correct IP address of the printer. The IP Address in Easy Printer Manager should be the same as the IP address from the Printer Configuration Report.
Figure : Compare the IP Addresses
  2. If the IP address is not the same, then update the IP address to match the printer in the Ports tab under Printer Properties.
If the message still shows on the printer control panel, then uninstall the printer and software completely. After removing the printer and software completely, then reinstall the software and drivers again.
