The Carriage Assembly needs to be lubricated occasionally (at least once a year) so that it can slide easily along the Slider Rod.

Using the Front Panel, in the Printheads menu, select “Replace printheads now”. The Carriage Assembly will move to the center of the printer.

Open the Window and apply a few drops of oil (bottle of oil can be found in the Maintenance Kit) to the pads on either side of the Carriage Assembly.

Apply a few drops of oil directly to the Slider Rod on either side of the Carriage Assembly.
