Introduction

This document contains steps for printing a self-test report from the product.

Printing a self-test report

Use one of the following methods to print a self-test report.

Method one: Print a self-test report from the computer

  1. Load letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the product input tray.
  2. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  3. On the computer desktop, double-click the product icon (). The product Toolbox opens.
  4. Click Printer Actions.
  5. Click Maintenance Tasks.
  6. Click the Device Services tab, and then click Print Quality Diagnostics Page. The self-test report prints.

Method two: Print a self-test report from the control panel

This video shows the HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One Printer series (A910), but the steps are the same for your printer.

  1. Load letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the product input tray.
  2. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  3. On the product touch screen, touch the Right Arrow () to display the second navigation screen.
  4. Touch Setup () on the control panel display. The Setup Menu displays.
  5. Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.
  6. Touch Printer Status Report. The self-test report prints.
