Step two: Enable Wireless Direct printing

Wireless Direct printing is typically disabled by default.

There are two methods available for enabling Wireless Direct: 1) using the printer control panel, or 2) using the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Choose one of the methods below and then follow the steps provided.

Step three: Configure additional settings for Wireless Direct and NFC printing (Optional)

There are additional (optional) settings that can be configured using the Embedded Web Server (EWS). The optional settings include enabling Near-Field Communication (NFC), changing the Wireless Direct printer name (SSID), and configuring security.

To access the Embedded Web Server (EWS), you must have the printer's LAN IP address. Locate the IP address on the printer control panel using the following steps.
