HP LaserJet, HP OfficeJet Enterprise, HP PageWide Enterprise - How to create and use watermarks when printing (Windows)

Learn how to add a watermark to printed pages when printing from Windows. Predefined watermarks are available in the software, or there is an option to create a new watermark.

In addition to the instructions below, you can view the following video of how to create watermarks when printing from Windows.

  1. From the software program, select the Print option.

  2. Select the printer, and then click the Properties or Preferences button.

  3. Click the Effects tab.

  4. In the Watermarks drop-down list, select a watermark. Or, to create a new watermark, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Edit button, and then click New.

    2. In the Watermark Message field, type a message that will display as the watermark on the printed page(s).

    3. Specify the settings for the watermark (such as font and color), and then click the Add button.

    4. Click the OK button to close the Watermarks dialog.

  5. To print the watermark on the first page only, select the check box next to First page only. Otherwise, the watermark will print on each page.

  6. Click the OK button to close the Properties dialog.

  7. In the Print dialog box, click OK or Print to print the job.
