The printer is displaying continuous RESEAT, REPLACE, or possibly FAULTY ink cartridge messages, and re-installing and/or replacing the ink cartridge does not resolve the issue.
Follow the steps below to ensure the ink supply station (ISS) is correctly latched into place:
-
Turn the printer off, and unplug the power cable from the printer.
-
Remove all of the ink cartridges.Figure : Ink cartridges removed
-
Go to the back of the printer to access the ISS cover (right-side, back of the printer).
-
Using a T15 Torx, remove the two screws securing the ISS cover.Figure : ISS cover screws
-
Pull the ISS cover back towards you to access the ISS assembly.Figure : ISS assembly
-
Check the ISS latches to ensure they are latched.Figure : Correctly latched ISSFigure : ISS not latched
-
If the ISS is not latched, move the latches into the notches as shown in Figure 4 above.
-
Once the ISS is properly latched, close the ISS cover.
-
Re-install the cover screws.
-
Re-install the ink cartridges, plug in the power cable and turn the printer on.
-
Attempt to verify functionality.
