HP LaserJet Enterprise, HP PageWide Enterprise - Open the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)

To learn how to open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) on an HP Enterprise or HP Managed printer, follow these steps:

1. Have the printer IP address or host name available.

   • HP FutureSmart 3: From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Network icon to display the IP address or host name.

   • HP FutureSmart 4 and 5: From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Information icon , and then touch the Ethernet icon to display the IP address or host name.

2. Open a web browser.

3. In the url field, type the IP address or host name of the printer as displayed following the above instructions, and then press Enter.

4. If the web browser displays a message indicating that the connection is not private or secure, expand the Advanced option and the click the link to Continue... or Proceed... to the website.

   Note:

   Accessing this website will not harm the computer. This message is received if the printer enforces HTTPS.

The EWS opens.

• On standard desktops, the tabs for the EWS are available across the top of the page.

• On small, narrow devices such as phones, the tabs are collapsed and not immediately visible. To open the tabs, use the menu icon .

For more information about a specific page in the EWS, click the Help link located in the upper-right corner of the page. Some pages in the EWS do not have a Help link.
