Recovery files for HP Elite Slice G2 systems are now available using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. Until now, the recovery files could only be obtained by ordering from HP.

Previously, the only option for obtaining the restore files was to order media support kit L27484-B21 from HP. That option is still available, but now the image files can be downloaded using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
note:This process creates a bootable USB flash drive and downloads the image to it. You must have a 32-GB (minimum) flash drive for this process.
caution:The flash drive will be completely erased during the process. It if contains important data, copy that data to anther location to avoid losing it.

Open this link:

Download the HPCloudRecoveryTool.exe installer.

Locate and run HPCloudRecoveryTool.exe.

When HP Cloud Recovery Tool - InstallShield Wizard opens, click Next >.

Accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Next > to install the tool.

Click Start and type "hp cloud".

Right-click HP Cloud Recovery Tool, then select Run as Administrator.

When the tool opens, click Next >.

Wait for the Setup to initialize.

Check I need to enter Product ID for my HP system.

Enter this Product ID: 4ZE38AW#ABA, then click Next >.

Insert the USB flash drive (32-GB minimum).

Select the USB flash drive for the image download.
