Samsung MFP Printers - PC Fax Displays Fax Device I/O Error

This article only applies to units connected via USB. Not all fax-capable units support PC-Fax.
If the Fax Device I/O error is displayed, try the following to resolve:
  1. Uninstall the program and reinstall with the latest version from the download site.
    Go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.
  2. If the error persists, try a different USB cable and a different USB port. Also make sure the USB cable is 6 feet or less in length.
If the problem persists, the USB port on your printer may require service. Go to https://support.hp.com for further assistance.
