HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M651 and HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M680 - 13.B2.Dx, 13.B9.Ax, 13.B9.Cx, 13.B9.Dx, and 13.D1.Dx Errors

Issue:
When a jam occurs in the fuser, one of the following error messages is displayed on the control panel:
  • 13.B2.Dx Jam in Right Door
  • 13.B9.Ax Fuser Jam
  • 13.B9.Cx Fuser Wrap Jam
  • 13.B9.Dx Jam in Right Door
  • 13.D1.Dx Jam in Right Door
The X in each message represents the tray number from which the paper came.
Solution
Step one: Clear jams in the fuser area
Use the following procedure to check for paper in all possible jam locations inside the fuser. When a jam occurs, the control panel displays an animation that assists in clearing the jam.
  caution:
The fuser can be hot while the product is in use. Wait for the fuser to cool before handling it.
  1. Open the right door.

  2. If paper is visible entering the bottom of the fuser, gently pull downward to remove it.
      caution:
    Do not touch the rollers on the transfer roller. Contaminants can affect print quality.

  3. Paper could be jammed inside the fuser where it would not be visible. Grasp the fuser handles, squeeze the blue release levers, lift up slightly, and then pull straight out to remove the fuser.
      caution:
    The fuser can be hot while the product is in use. Wait for the fuser to cool before handling it.

  4. Open the jam-access door. If paper is jammed inside the fuser, gently pull it straight up to remove it. If the paper tears, remove all paper fragments.
      caution:
    Do not touch the fuser rollers.
    Do not use a sharp or metal object to clear paper from the fuser which might damage the fuser.

  5. Close the jam-access door, and push the fuser completely into the product.

  6. Close the right door.
