How do I change the preferred apps that open my music, videos, or photos on my HP tablet?
You can set your media files to automatically open with a preferred app, rather than selecting your preferred app every time you want to open the file type. You can also clear your app preferences to reset the file associations.
To set a preferred app for opening a media file type, use the following steps:
  1. Tap a media file of a given type (for example, an .mp3 music file) that you want to set a preferred app to open.
  2. Tap to select the preferred app, and then tap Always.

    Selecting a preferred app
The selected app is now the preferred app for opening this file type. You can still open this type of file from a different app if you first open that app, and then open the file from within the app.
To reset all of your preferred apps, use the following steps:
  note:
In addition to clearing all preferred apps for actions, resetting your app preferences resets all disabled apps, app notifications, and background data restrictions for apps. It does not destroy any app data.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the All apps icon, and then tap the Settings icon.
  2. In the Device section, tap Apps.

  3. Tap the menu icon in the top right corner, and then tap Reset app preferences.

To find other Android media player apps, visit the Google Play Store (in English).
How do I surf the Internet while listening to streaming music on my HP tablet?
To browse the Internet while listening to a streaming music service, use one of the following solutions:
  • Use separate browsers. There are two Web browsers preinstalled on the tablet: Chrome and Browser. Open one browser and start streaming music, and then tap the Home navigation button. Open the other browser and start surfing the Internet.
  • Install a streaming music app. Search for your preferred streaming music service in the Google Play Store (in English). If there is an Android app available for the music service, install it, and use the app to listen to streaming music rather than streaming from a browser.
