HP recommends using the ten-meter (33 feet) cable provided with HP digital projectors. However, it is possible to use a 15-meter (49 feet) Video Graphics Array (VGA) cable and Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable on a ceiling mounted unit.

Solutions for extra long cables
If a longer VGA cable is used, the signal strength should be the same as with the original cable from the box. In order to maintain this signal, use a 75 Oms signal booster.
When using a long USB cable (greater than 5 meters), use a Category 5 (Cat5) extender. This will maintain the signal strength for another 100 meters.
