HP Designjet Printers - Long Axis Printing Test

Issue:
How can I make sure that my printer/plotter will do long axis printing?
Solution
Since some software has page size limitations, the best way to test long axis printing is from MS-DOS (R). From the MS-DOS prompt type the following line:
Echo in;ps62000,35000;sp1;pa2000,2000;pd60000,8000;pg; >lpt1
  note:
Substitute lpt1 for the appropriate port that the printer is attached to.
The result should be a line approximately 60 inches long.
  note:
The pd command can be changed to test a longer length. Insure the ps (page size) command is greater than the pd command. 1016 Printer units equal 1 inch.
