HP is enhancing the BIOS on the following HP 2021 desktop PCs.

Effective September 09, 2022, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2021 desktop PCs.

The new software and BIOS updates are available for download from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page after the effective date.

HP Z1 G8 Tower Desktop PC/HP EliteDesk 800 G8 Small Form Factor PC has the following enhancements added:

Enhancement to update the Intel microcode of Rocket Lake S CPU to version 0x54.
Enhancement to update the Intel Management Engine Firmware to 15.0.41.2158.
Enhancement to address the security vulnerabilities CVE-2021-23223, CVE-2021-37409.
Fixes issue when system still triggers BIOS update via ESC Startup Menu when "Lock BIOS Version" is enabled in F10 setup menu.
Enhancement to address the security vulnerabilities CVE-2022-31644, CVE-2022-31645, CVE-2022-31646, CVE-2022-27537.
Enhancement to improve the connection stability when running HP Sure Recover.
Enhancement to address the security vulnerability CVE-2022-31643.
Updates HP Sure Run Agent to v5.0.0.38894 for compatibility and stability enhancement.
Updates Super IO 18.10 firmware to v10.4.15.

HP ProDesk 405 G8 Small Form Factor PC has the following enhancements added:

Updates the AMD AGESA reference code to 1.2.0.7.
Fixes issue when system still triggers BIOS update via ESC Startup Menu when "Lock BIOS Version" is enabled in F10 setup menu.
Enhancement to address the security vulnerabilities CVE-2022-31644, CVE-2022-31645, CVE-2022-31646, CVE-2022-27537.
Enhancement to improve the connection stability when running HP Sure Recover.
