HP Tango, OfficeJet 8010, Pro 8020, 8030, 9010, 9020 Printers - Printer Frequently Disconnects from Wi-Fi

This document is for HP OfficeJet 8010, 8012, 8013, 8015, 8022, OfficeJet Pro 8020, 8022, 8023, 8024, 8025, 8026, 8028, 8035, 9010, 9012, 9013, 9014, 9015, 9016, 9018, 9019, 9020, 9022, 9023, 9025, 9026, 9028, Tango, and Tango X printers.
If the printer is on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection and frequently disconnects, make sure Wi-Fi Direct is enabled.

HP OfficeJet 8010, Pro 8020, 8030, 9010, 9020 printers

Enable W-Fi Direct from the printer control panel menu.
  1. Turn the printer off, and then turn it on.
  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Wi-Fi Direct icon.
  3. Touch the Settings icon, and then turn on Wi-Fi Direct.
Your printer is connected to the wireless network.

HP Tango and Tango X printers

Use the buttons on the printer to enable W-Fi Direct.
  1. Turn the printer off, and then turn it on.
  2. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Information button for three seconds until all buttons light up.
  3. Press the Information, Cancel, and Resume buttons until the bottom short bar and large bar glow blue.
    The blue light moving from the outer edges to the center, and then up to the bottom short bar
Your printer is connected to the wireless network.
