Samsung SCX-340x Laser MFP - Clearing Paper Jams

The following procedures show how to clear paper jams. To avoid tearing the paper, pull the jammed paper out slowly and gently.

1. Remove the jammed paper by gently pulling it straight out.

2. Open the scanner unit.

3. Close the scanner unit.

  caution:

The fuser area is hot. Take care when removing paper from the printer.

1. Open the scanner unit.

2. Open the jam cover.

3. Open the fuser dummy cover.

4. Remove the jammed paper by gently pulling it straight out.

5. Close the fuser dummy cover.
   Figure : Fuser dummy cover, close

   
6. Close the jam cover. And then close the scanner unit.

   If there is no paper in this area, stop and go to next step.
7. Open the scanner unit.

8. Open the middle cover.
   Figure : Middle cover, open

   
9. Remove the toner cartridge.
   Figure : Toner cartridge, remove

   
10. Remove the jammed paper by gently pulling it straight out.

11. Reinstall the toner cartridge.
    Figure : Toner cartridge, insert

    
12. Close the middle cover.
    Figure : Middle cover, close

    
13. Close the scanner unit.
