HP OfficeJet 7110 Printers - Wireless Printer Setup
This document is for HP Officejet 7110 Wide Format ePrinters (H812a).
To use your HP printer on a local wireless (Wi-Fi) network, connect the printer to the network and install the best available print driver.
Windows
Set up your HP printer on a local wireless network with a Windows computer.
Step 1: Prepare for installation
Before setting up the printer on your wireless network, gather the required items and check the printer and computer connections.
Gather the following items:
Network name: The network name is the SSID.
Network password (WEP key or WPA security passphrase)
A computer connected to your wireless network
Internet access (recommended): HP recommends broadband Internet access such as cable or DSL.
Your wireless-capable printer: Place your printer close to the computer during the installation.
USB cable: The installer prompts you when to connect the USB cable.
Make sure the printer, router, and computer are all turned on, and that the computer is connected to the same wireless network to which you are connecting the printer.
Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables from the printer.
Step 2: Install the driver and set up the connection
To set up the printer on a wireless network, install the print driver. When prompted during the guided installation, temporarily connect the USB cable from the printer to the computer. This transfers necessary wireless information to the printer from the computer.
Turn on the printer.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer, if necessary. The software installation prompts you to connect the cable if needed.
If a Let's identify your product to get started page displays, click Printer, type your printer model number, and then click Submit.
If you need to change the operating system, click Change, select your version, and then click Change.
Under the Driver heading, click Download for the full software package, or click Basic Drivers for other driver options.
Mac
Set up your HP printer on a local wireless network with a Mac computer.
Step 1: Prepare for installation

If you need to change the operating system, click Change, select your version, and then click Change.
Click Download next to HP Easy Start or next to the full feature driver, depending on the option that displays.
Open the Downloads folder, and then open the HP Easy Start file or the full feature driver .dmg file to begin the installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer connection and install the software.
If you are prompted to add the printer to the printer queue, click the name of your printer, click the Use or Print Using menu, select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu, and then click Add.
Return to the HP installer to complete the installation.
