HP Designjet T1120 MFP Product Series - Media Profile Cannot be Generated

If the Create Media Profile wizard stops running or reports errors…
  1. Ensure that the scanner and the printer are both turned on and ready for normal operation.
  2. Ensure that your scanner is functioning. Scan a small document (to file) to test the scanner.
  3. Ensure that media is loaded in the printer.
  4. Ensure that the printer’s media type setting corresponds with the actual media loaded.
  5. Ensure that the color sheet you printed through the Create Media Profile wizard is inserted and aligned correctly in the scanner.
  6. Ensure you have loaded the correct color sheet printed through the Create Media Profile Wizard. When you select to print the color patch sheet from the wizard, 2 sheets are output. The first sheet is not needed for for the process and should be discarded. The second sheet printed (see image below) is the color patch sheet must feed into the scanner for creating the media profile.

  7. Check that the scanner is clean and recently calibrated. If in doubt, clean the scanning area and calibrate the scanner.
